Will Tenney grew up in Berkeley, California, and as a child of seven was given a Kodak Brownie camera by his father. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Graphic Design, Tenney entered the publishing industry as a book designer, primarily concentrating on the design and production of educational materials for the classroom. He has worked as designer, design director, and art director for several publishing companies and has won many awards for book design, while always maintaining his love of photography. His photographs have appeared in many publications and are in numerous private collections.

I have always been interested in nature, having grown up in an environment where a love of the outdoors was encouraged. For a long time I have been photographically studying abstract and random qualities found in nature, and am especially interested in pattern and reflection.
While traveling, I always take a camera and try to create images based on the places I have visited. Recently I visited the central highlands of Mexico inspiring many images, including the Neighboring Colors series, a photographic exploration of intersections of two properties sharing a common wall, some of which are shown here.
