Artist Statement

I travel quite a bit, always taking a camera, and I try to create images that are emblematic and evocative of the places I visit. I have always been interested in nature, having grown up in an environment where a love of the outdoors was encouraged. For a long time I have been photographically studying abstract and random qualities found in nature, and am especially interested in pattern and reflection. I have a rather quirky sense of humor and am attracted by the unusual and oddball aspects of our world.
