It all started as a hobby, after I took an online class on using African fabrics to make home decor pieces. With a year away from my regular job, this hobby has turned into a business.
The symbols on my handmade wall hangings are the Ghanaian Adinkra symbols. They originate from the Akan ethnic group of Ghana in West Africa. These symbols represent concepts, general truths or principles. They are cut on African print fabrics.
I also make photo frames made with recycled cardboard , covered with beautiful and bright African print fabrics.
