After 17 years of designing jewelry and without any formal training I began acrylic painting.
Artist Statement
Louise Musto-Choate - Abstract Acrylic Artist
After a life-changing experience, I was looking for a new outlet to express what was happening in my life. I had no formal training in painting, but decided to take the plunge in early June 2017. I entered a juried show and won a ribbon in October of that year. This propelled me to continue to nurture my inner artistic abilities.
My love of color, texture, and movement of the paint instills a vision for me. So when I have a vision of what I want to see on the canvas, I just goes with it, making my business name, "Designsinmind" the best description for what you see in the work here.
As I embrace my surroundings, the results are amazing and represent my inner heart and soul. I use a wide variety of techniques to create my one-of-a -kind abstract paintings.
My work has been exhibited in numerous venues since 2017, including the Medford Public Library, Melrose Art Festival, Mystic Coffee Roasters, Medford City Hall, Arlington Open Studios, Commerce Place in Malden, at a new gallery in South Medford called "Howe Creative Studio and Gallery," Melrose Wakefield Hospital, the Beebe Estate, and LynnArts.
