Biography
After leaving the painting department of Massachusetts College of Art, I spent a year studying in Florence, Italy. The influence of that stay and of travels to other distant points has shown in my work for a number of years. I have produced many pieces, primarily in color pencil, inspired by those journeys.
Recently I have returned to my first love – painting – and to landscapes inspired by scenes that, though closer to home, are no less magical.
My work is represented in the collection of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and in various private and corporate collections, and has been exhibited at the Concord Art Association, the Cambridge Arts Association, and the Cahoon Museum in Cotuit, MA, and various other galleries. In June 2002 I participated in an exhibit entitled "Garden Sculpture and Paintings of Gardens" at Francesca Anderson Fine Art in Lexington, MA.
