Kim DeAndrade is a quilter and butterfly gardener. Kim and Catherine live in West Medford. Kim is a member of the Cambridge Modern Quilt Guild. She started quilting by making baby quilts for friends. The first recipient just graduated from high school! Catherine is a writer, cook and grandmother. About ten years ago she began making simple drawings of food, surrounded by writing: memories and whimsical prose. She calls these pieces Eating Art Work.
Kim enjoys choosing fabrics, deciding on the piecing pattern and then figuring out how to quilt it. Each one is an experiment that she is hoping someone will want! Catherine's Eating Art Work project has expanded over the years. She enjoys producing useful items like Kitchen Towels, Note Cards, Tote Bags and more, featuring her colorful drawings.
