Digital photography

A tropical garden in a retirees’ paradise. Thistles reach from the green. Prayer flags snap at 14,000 feet. A woman rests on the side of the road in a hill station as America peers over her shoulder. Images that tell a story with color, texture, and light.

Since an early age, I’ve been telling stories. From grade school to graduate school, I focused on telling those stories with words, culminating in an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Recently, I’ve produced my art 1,000 words at a time — if the equivalency of the cliché about pictures is true. In this new form, I bring the participant deep into the macro world of a monarch butterfly. I share the tranquility of a Buddhist monastery in the Himalayas. I reveal the wonder of the natural world, from the small to the magnificent.

It is my pleasure to exhibit my photos at West Medford Open Studios. I invite you to share my pleasure of color, texture, and light.
