Volunteering at West Medford Open Studios

A meaningful way to be part of this community event

We can always use the help of neighbors, students, and fellow artists to ensure the success of West Medford Open Studios. Whether you have time during the event weekend or throughout the year, we welcome your support.

Some of the volunteer opportunities are:

  • Pre/post event publicity — distribute maps, put up posters, maps real estate signs
  • Greeter — welcomes guests, asks key health questions, gives out map, informs them of safety protocols
  • Social media support
  • Photography
  • Team leaders
  • Set up — tents, systems, signs, tables etc.
  • Guides
  • Safety support — COVID-19 accommodations monitor, checks to see that we are adhering to safety protocols
  • Artists support — troubleshooting, Liaison with board members and/ or team leader
  • Roadies — entertainment support (musicians, writers)

These and other tasks put you in touch with the community of artists who are organizing WMOS and those who are showing their work.

Most rewarding is the chance to be part of this upbeat neighborhood event during which all participants get to greet neighbors, and friends (and make new friends) as they wend their way through the various sites.
