Artepreuners Youth

Recycled repurposed mixed media art objects

About the Artist

Artepreuners Junior is a weekly afterschool program run by the newly formed non-profit, The Mystic Project at the Medford Housing Authority. Elementary- and middle-school-aged residents youth transform discarded materials into treasures and learn about entrepreneurship while harnessing their artistic skills. A large part of art materials is sourced from the community at large, materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Participants are given creative freedom while learning about sales, marketing, and other aspects of entrepreneurship. Creations include dry flower arrangements in repurposed vases, handpainted greeting cards, repurposed mailers, handmade soaps, planters, wall art, etc. The products we will showcase at WMOS are a source of pride for our young participants who are involved at every stage from creation to sale, including personning the tables at WMOS.
