About the Artist

I’ve always had a love affair with metal. My parents collected antiques, so every once in a while, an interesting metal artifact would turn up, adorning our coffee table, or carefully placed on the mantle or behind glass. The simplicity, beauty, and durability of hammered and pitted iron and bronze mesmerize me to this day.

Crafting jewelry unexpectedly found me – working in a dental lab where I learned the art of casting metal. That was the beginning of the love affair. The form, feel, and possibilities captivated me.

After realizing that jewelry was my future, I apprenticed under a master jeweler in Chestnut Hill, MA for seven years before starting my own jewelry studio in 2002.

To this day, those artifacts from my childhood are with me as I strive to create pieces that become the treasures and talismans of the wearer.
