About the Artist
Abigail McMurray is a paper artist currently living and working in Arlington, MA. She's been fascinated with home, houses, and how people live in them since her childhood crafting intricate Lego apartment buildings and spending hours designing homes using software designed for people planning to build custom houses.
Today she uses her BFA in Graphic Design and Sculpture, along with a computerized cutting machine, to craft custom sculptural house portraits, architecturally-inspired paper art, and Paper Places map art that explores the physical shapes of home through mapping cities, towns, lakes, and other familiar landmarks.
